Kickstart your heart and start walking with Walking the Way to Health Monmouthshire – there is a group near you.
Meet old
friends, make new ones, get fit and feel better with our free
all-the-year-round led walks. There are no stiles or obstacles and the
walks last no more than one hour. If you are a first time walker with any of the groups you will be asked to complete a simple health questionnaire. There is nothing to fear from this as it is for insurance purposes only.
Walking the
Way to Health Wales is sponsored by the Big Lottery, Welsh Assembly
Government, Countryside Council for Wales and British Heart Foundation. In
Monmouthshire the project is also supported by Wye Valley Area of
Outstanding Beauty, Monmouthshire County Council and Forestry Commission
Wales until the end of December 2006. After this date walks in
Abergavenny and Chepstow will continue, and will be run by their local walk
leaders. Contact details (see below) can be used before and after this
date.
