In pursuance of their Static Advertising Policy to rent space beside the highway for advertising, planning applications DC/2015/1591-4 seek permission for multiple sites at Caldicot, and along A472, A4810 and A48.  While the policy aims to assist the business community and to counter unauthorised advertising, as well as to raise revenue, some may feel that these advertisements are unacceptable extra clutter on our roadsides.  The relevant Local Development Plan (http://www.monmouthshire.gov.uk/app/uploads/2015/07/Adopted-Local-Development-Plan.pdf) policy is DES3 on p166.
