Who are Homemakers?
Homemakers is a community group based in Abergavenny. We aim to promote waste reduction and recycling throughout Monmouthshire. Our main activity is furniture and electrical goods recycling.

What and where we collect, and how to buy items.
We collect from any address within Monmouthshire, and provide the County Council’s bulky household goods collection service

We collect: Furniture, electrical Items (in working order), and any other household items that are in good condition.
We are a registered charity and all proceeds from sales go into paying for the service we provide. i.e. staffing and other day to day expenses
Anyone can purchase from Homemakers irrespective of where they live or their financial status, we pride ourselves on the fact we do not discriminate against any person.

Items can be purchased from our showroom at The Old Chapel, The Old Workhouse, Union Road, Abergavenny, NP7 7RL  between 9am – 5pm. (Mon – Friday) or at the following sales:-

  • Chepstow Senior Citizens Centre  1st Monday of the Month  10am – 3pm
  • Caldicot Methodist Church  2nd Tuesday of the Month  12pm – 4pm
  • Abergavenny Market Hall  3rd Thursday of the Month  10am – 3pm
