Gwent Beekeepers

Gwent Beekeepers CIO is an active group with around 200 members, ranging from hobbyists to bee farmers, covering the area of Monmouthshire, Newport, Torfaen, Blaenau Gwent and Caerphilly.

We are an active, friendly group providing –

• Help and support for beekeepers
• ‘Taster sessions’ for would-be beekeepers
• Training for new beekeepers
• Ongoing instruction at our teaching apiary
• Meetings with invited speakers, which non-members are welcome to attend for a nominal charge
• Talks and information for local schools and community groups
• Advice for the public and a service for the collection of swarms

Full membership includes membership of the British Beekeepers’ Association  and Bee Disease Insurance
