A bat event for beginners, and part of the Monmouth bioblitz, (see 27th June events). An introductory talk will be followed by a walk along the bank of the River Monnow to hear bats emerging and feeding. There will be an opportunity for participants to use a bat detector, and an anabat detector will identify the different species of bats flying on the evening. Places are limited, so please book in advance with Sue Parkinson. The event will be led by Monmouthshire Bat Group. The Monmouth bioblitz is organised by Monmouthshire Environment Partnership Board with numerous partners.
