A talk by local author David Hicks, former professor in the School of Education at Bath Spa University, who has specialised in helping children and young people to understand the global and local issues that will affect their lives as they grow up. His latest book explores the responsibility adults and educators have in preparing children for a future that will be very different from today. The talk will also explore the nature of climate change, the impact it will have on our lives, and why some people see it as nothing more than hot air. Tickets are FREE from Chepstow Bookshop or Chepstow library and the talk is being organised with Transition Chepstow.
