Welsh Government is consulting on a document that considers priorities that might be delivered by the Wales and Borders franchise when the power to award this is transferred to Welsh Ministers.  The services are currently provided by Arriva Trains Wales and the next franchise is likely to start in October 2018.  Details at http://gov.wales/consultations/transport/160121-rail-franchise/?lang=en.  Responses are required by 18 March.
