The Welsh Government’s paper ‘Improving the availability of allotments and community gardens’ published in July 2014, highlighted the need for up to date guidance to help communities across Wales benefit from increased growing opportunities. As a result guidance has been created in draft form by The Federation of City Farms and Community Gardens. The guidance is written for both local authorities and community organisations.  They are now seeking your thoughts and opinions about it and would like to invite you to consultation events, one of which is at The Red House Old Town Hall, High Street, Merthyr TYdfil on 30 November (10am – 1.30pm).  Contact louise@farmgarden.co.uk for a copy of the draft and for further details.
